Wonda Studio is deprecated, to use the latest version of Wonda check our new platform Wonda to use VR experiences on desktop, mobile and VR headsets.

With Wonda VR, you can trigger interactions on any object based on what your users gaze at or click on.

When wearing a VR headset, you will see a little reticle in the center of the screen. Move your head around and point the reticle on any object to trigger “gaze over” interactions. Stop moving and focus on the object for 2 seconds (by default) to trigger “gaze” interactions. Look away to trigger “gaze away” interactions

On desktop, you will get a classic mouse navigation when launching a project in a web browser.

With the Interaction editing panel, you can trigger actions based on your user behaviour on each element of a given sequence.

These interactions impact properties of one or multiple elements of your sequence (image, video, text, …) on gaze, gaze over or gaze away. Through these interactions, you can, for example, change the scale of an element when staring at it or interact with the player (eg. play/pause a 360° video) when you gaze over on another element in your sequence.

In VR viewing mode (side-by-side), the way you are looking around you is the most natural manner of interacting with your environment. While Gaze-over and Gaze-away interactions allow rapid feedback, the Gaze interaction will be triggered after 2 seconds (by default) of focus on an element. In a VR headset, you will see the reticle extend when staring at an interactive element. This visual feedback lets the user be prepared to switch between sequences for example.

Select the Source Element of your Interaction:

On the scene or on the track: Right click on the element> “Edit interactions” or Cmd + I (Mac) or Ctrl + I (PC).

Choose the type of “event” to trigger interaction: gaze, gaze over and gaze away. A new edition box is then created, where you can select the target element that will be impacted, the type of action (style, position & size), the parameters, values, duration and the easing.

Set the “target” Element:

From the drop-down list, select the target element you want to affect. The list contains all the elements of the sequence, classified by type (photos, texts, …).
If the target element is the one you want to interact with, then select “This element”.
If you want to create an action on the project playback, select “Player”. (See the list of actions below)

NB: You can define as many targets as you want for the same “source” element.

Editing parameters, animation timing and easing:

It is possible to change the opacity and scale of all types of elements. However, if you choose the player control, you can change playback properties.

The animation timing is defined by its execution time, this value is shown in seconds.

The easing sets the pace of the animation (eg constant speed, slowed at the end, acceleration, bounce …). See here for more info on easing.

Copy / Cut / Paste Groups of Interactions:

There are several ways to copy / duplicate / paste interactions:

  1. On the scene and on the track: Right click on the element > “Copy interactions”, then right click > “Paste interactions” on another element.

  2. In the interaction panel: select one or more interactions, then right-click > “Copy” and paste in the space of another element.

Delete Interactions:

There are several ways to delete interactions:

  1. Right-click the element on the scene and on the timeline > “Delete interactions”

  2. In the interaction panel: select one or more interactions, then right-click> “Delete”
